Paul Rosenthal (Colorado politician)

Paul Rosenthal is an American community activist, teacher and politician who served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. He represented House District 9.

Rosenthal is openly gay. Upon taking office, he joined other openly LGBT politicians,[1] including then House Speaker Mark Ferrandino (D - HD 2), Reps. Dominick Moreno (D - HD 32), Joann Ginal (D - HD 52) and Sue Schafer (D - HD 24), as well as senators Pat Steadman (D - SD 31), Lucía Guzmán (D - SD 34) and Jessie Ulibarri (D - SD 21).[2]

Rosenthal ran for re-election in 2018 but was eliminated in the Democratic primary, so he was not a candidate in the general election.[3]
