Patrick Terrail
Patrick Terrail (born September 19, 1942, Paris) is a restaurant and hotel consultant. He is the owner of the Los Angeles restaurant Ma Maison. His family owned the Tour d’Argent in Paris[1] (he is the fourth generation in the restaurant business).[2]
Early life
Born to parents Jean Claude and Gabrielle (Sirigo) Terrail, he came to the United States in 1959. He went on to study at Cornell University from 1960-1963 where he studied hotel management.[1]
As a child, he lived in Greece and was a champion sailor.[2]
Career
Prior to opening Ma Maison in 1973, he held a variety of positions in the hospitality industry. His first job was as the Associate director at the Brasserie Restaurant in New York City from 1964-1965. He was the president and co-founder of Four Elements, Inc. and Information Clearing House (also in New York City) from 1968-1972. He was the special assistant to the president of Hiram Walker & Sons Inc. starting in 1992.

Writing
With Robin Leach, he wrote A Taste of Hollywood about Ma Maison.[3] He also wrote The Ma Maison Cooking School Cookbook.

Personal life
He met his wife Jackie after he moved to the Atlanta area.[1] While in Los Angeles, he was in a relationship with Kathy Gallagher, who also owned a restaurant in Los Angeles.[4]
