Pathankot–Ajmer Expressway

Pathankot-Ajmer Expressway, is eight-lane 600 km proposed express highway connecting Pathankot with Ajmer via Jalandhar, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway (intersection with), Moga, Bagha Purana, Bhatinda, Sirsa (Jodhkan and Rampura Dhillon), Bhadra, Taranagar, Churu, Shekhawati, Salasar-Sikar, Kuchaman City, Makrana. The expressway will be about 600 km long out of which 325 km will fall in Punjab and rest will be in Haryana and Rajasthan. The project will open up the trade route to Ajmer. The movement of goods will be facilitated from northern states to South via Ajmer and Kandla port. It will cost around 8,000 crore (US$1.1 billion). Only Bhatinda-Ajmer Expressway section has been approved. There is also another separately approved Bhatinda-Kandla greenfield highway project.

Current status

Of the proposed Pathankot-Ajmer Express way, the Pathankot to Jalandhar section is already part of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, conseque (intersection with), Jalandhar to Moga-Bhatinda section is served by the existing NH5 and NH105B. Currently, only Bhatinda-Ajmer greenfield highway section had been approved the NHAI in May 2018, which will reduce the existing distance between Bhatinda and Ajmer by 120 km.[1]

Bhatinda-Kandla Expressway: Another new 4-lane Bhatinda-Kandla greenfield national highway was approved by NHAI in May 2018, which will reduce the 1,100 km to 900 km, will pass through Punjab, Haryana (Dabwali), Rajasthan (Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Nokha (Guru Jambheshwar's Mukam Dham), Jodhpur, Barmer (Siwana) and Sanchore), and Gujarat (Vav, Santalpur, Adesar and Samkhiyali).[1]

gollark: You haven't really described any. And ignored me asking how I could conveniently test this personally as you claimed/implied.

gollark: Are you aware of the "correspondence principle"? It basically just means that your new theory has to match with all the previously found empirical evidence for other theories.
