Parra, Goa
Parra is a village in Bardez sub-district, North Goa, India. It is close to the town of Mapusa and the villages of Saligao, Calangute, Assagaon, Anjuna and Vagator. Parra covers quite a vast land area, but most of it is agricultural land with pockets of residential land. It is also quite close to Panjim city, the capital of Goa. A resident of Parra is popularly known as a "Porrikar". Parra used to be famous for sweet, red watermelons.
