There are currently two recognized species in this genus:[1]
- Parachaenichthys charcoti (Vaillant, 1906)
- Parachaenichthys georgianus (J. G. Fischer, 1885)

gollark: I thought it was limited to what fit in an IP packet, so about 1280 bytes.
