Our School (TV series)
Our School is a British documentary reality television programme on CBBC which first aired on 3 September 2014 and has run for six series. It uses a fly on the wall format to show the everyday lives of the staff and pupils of secondary schools and follows children as they move from year 6 into year 7, each series is filmed in a different school.

Development and production
Our school was commissioned by TwoFour and CBBC [1] in September 2013, the series follows students from different primary schools and moving into secondary school. The series sees year 7 students on their first year in a secondary school and follows the day-to-day life of children in school. The series uses a fly on the wall style camera system and is filmed over a whole year. Each series is filmed in a different school. The series are narrated by the teachers of the schools. The first series was made up of 16x30 minute episodes and ran for 15 weeks in 2014 with a special catch up episode airing in September 2015
The series was renewed for a second series and was made up of 15x30 minute episodes and the series aired in early 2017. In August prior to the third series a special episode aired in where 2 students from each school in series one and two met up and went to each other's schools to see what it's like. A third series has been ordered and will begin airing on 5 September 2017 and will again be made up of 15x30 minute episodes.

Series 1 (2014–15)
It was filmed at Conyers School in Yarm near Middlesbrough. It featured the Year Seven classes experiencing Secondary School and the challenges they may face in life such as multi skills
Our School was first announced in early 2014, the series follows the same format as Educating (TV series) on Channel 4 which uses a fly on the wall cameras. The series follows 11 year 7's as they move up from primary school to secondary school and follows them on their first year. The first series was made up on 16x30 minute episodes and began broadcasting on 3 September 2014 and finished on 19 December 2019
In 2015 it was announced that a special episode would be added to the first series which aired on 7 September 2015 and was a catch-up episode which saw the cameras return to see on what had happened to the year 7's now year 8's since the series aired.

Series 2 (2016)
This series is filmed at Greenwood Academy in Castle Vale near Birmingham.
The Second series of Our School began on 5 January 2016 and ran for 15 weeks with the final episode airing on 12 April 2016 and was retitled Our School 2 and followed the same style as series one.[2] The Third series of Our School began on 5 September 2017.[3]
The series was renewed for a third series and will air from September 2017. Before the launch of the third series there was one of special in which saw two students from series one and series two swap schools for a day and got to know the other students, the special aired in August 2017.
