Of the 74 California stations served by Amtrak, Ontario was the 67th-busiest in fiscal year 2012, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 14.2 passengers daily.[3]
In late 2019, the Amtrak station that was boarded up and abandoned had been set aflame by an unknown source. Roughly one month later the city of Ontario demolished the building.
