Coaching Career
Nicknamed El Tractor, Omar Sevilla took his first steps as a coach in teams like Liberal (2000), Municipal Limeño (2001) and Fuerte San Francisco (2004).
Atlético Balboa
In June 2009, Sevilla replaced Salvadoran World Cup legend Luis Ramírez Zapata as coach of Atlético Balboa. But later he left the team.
Ciclón del Golfo
In 2014, he signed with Ciclón del Golfo. Months later signed with Guadalupano.
Dragón
But one of his greatest successes was when he was coach of Dragón, winning the Clausura 2016 final against Águila. It was one of the most amazing matches of the tournament. However, Sevilla left the team after the club went through an administrative and economic crisis.
Return to Dragón
Later, he signed as new coach of Fuerte San Francisco, El Vencedor and Pasaquina. In the middle of 2018, he was called by Dragón to be one of the coaches that, with Abel Blanco and Santos Rivera, tried to save the club from the descent, but they failed and Dragón lost the decisive match for non-relegation against Sonsonate 2–3.
Return to Municipal Limeño
Sevilla signed again as new coach of Municipal Limeño for the rest of the Apertura 2018, replacing Víctor Coreas. Municipal Limeño qualified for the quarter-finals of that tournament, but they were eliminated by Santa Tecla 2–3 on aggregate. On December 2018, Sevilla was fired.[1]
