Ogygoptynx

Ogygoptynx or Ogygoptyngidae is an extinct genus of owl from the Paleocene.[1] Dated to the late Paleocene, this is the earliest known owl fossil, with a single species assigned to the taxon: Ogygoptynx wetmorei.[2]
