North Bengal Dental College

North Bengal Dental College is a government dental college in West Bengal. It is situated at Sushrutanagar near Siliguri in the district of Darjeeling.[1] This college is recognized by Dental Council of India and is under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences.

History

North Bengal Dental College was established in the year 1990 with 20 seats. The college was under the University of North Bengal until formation of The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, which was established in 2003. The first principal was Dr. Bimal Chandra Bera. The names of the first batch of students are Argha Rudra, Tulika Ghoshal, Kalyan Das, Manjira Ghosh, Pijush Kanti Ghosh, Biswaroop Mukherjee, Goutam Sarkar, Supriyo Majumder, Subhendu Basu, Ajoy Roy, Ambika Charan Maji, Binayak Saha, Subhrangshu Das, Niloy Deb, Sarbani Ghosh, Shyam Sundar Agarwal, and Pobal Pal.[2]

This institution offers undergraduate course B.D.S . No postgraduate courses are offered by this dental college.[3]
