Nicholas Tofowomo

Nicholas Tofowomo is Nigerian Politician, He is the Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State at the 9th National Assembly.[1][2]

Polictical career

Tofowomo served as the commissioner for transport during the administration of Olusegun Mimiko, he was elected as the candidate of the People's Democratic Party on October 3, 2018 having polled 241 votes with Engr. Ademulegun p0lling 227 votes and the former Commissioner for Environment, Sola Ebiseni polled 177 votes at the primary election.[3]

On February 25, 2019, in a supplementary election, he was elected as senator representing Ondo South defeating the incubent Yele Omogunwa, who scored 51,993 votes, having polled 79,036 votes.[4] Tofowomo appointed 46 aides on July 24, 2019.[5]

On 6 September 2019, He was involved in a car accident where he suffered a bone fracture.[6][7]

On 6 February 2020, he was named in a 56-man Constitution Review Committee.[8]
