Nguea Laroute
Nguea Laroute (1960 – 14 June 2020) (Nguea La Route), known under her stage name Mama Nguéa, was a Cameroonian singer.[1] She made several albums, of which one was awarded in 1995. Especially the songs Désillusion and Soleil de Décembre made her well known. She toured not only in Cameroon but also overseas.

Laroute had diabetes. In 2019 she was ill for a long time and was admitted to Laquintinie hospital in Douala.[2] Her left leg was amputated. In March 2020 also her other leg was amputated.[3] She died in Douala on 14 June 2020.[1][4]
