NexTView
NexTView was an electronic program guide for the analog domain, based on Teletext.[1] It was used by TV programme listings for all of the major networks in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland. The transmission protocol is based on teletext,[2][3] however using a compact binary format instead of preformatted text pages. The advantage compared to paper-based TV magazines was that the user have an immediate overview what's running now and next. In addition, the user could search through the programme database by many different filter categories.
The nxtvepg software[4] enables nexTView to be viewed using a Personal Computer.
Some manufacturers were: Grundig, Loewe, Metz, Philips, Sony, Thomson, and Quelle Universum.
