Nelson Dilipkumar
Nelson Dilipkumar (born 21 June 1984) is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter who predominantly works in Tamil Industry. Nelson has won Best Screenplay Award in Norway Tamil Film Festival for his debut movie Kolamavu Kokila.[1] He was listed in The Times of India's 'Promising Directors who made a mark in 2018' article.[2]

Nelson had previously worked with Silambarasan for a project titled Vettai Mannan which was shelved for unknown reasons.[3]
Career
Nelson Dilipkumar is a graduate with a degree in Visual communication from New College, Chennai. He started his career as an assistant script-writer in Star Vijay.[4] He directed his first reality show, Azhagi in 2005. He expanded his territory in producing/directing shows in Star Vijay that includes Olly Belly, Boys Vs Girls, Jodi Number One, Airtel Super Singer and the recent Bigg Boss Tamil.
In between, Nelson started his debut movie Vettai Mannan in 2010 starring Silambarasan, Hansika Motwani and Deeksha Seth which was planned to be produced by NIC Arts S. S. Chakravarthy. The movie was shelved for unknown reasons in halfway through.[5][6]
His debut movie was the dark comedy Kolamavu Kokila which he wrote and directed, and was produced by Lyca Productions.[7][8]
