National University of Lesotho International School

The National University of Lesotho International School (NULIS) is a primary and secondary school in Roma in the Maseru District of Lesotho. The school is a part of the National University of Lesotho and is situated on its campus.

==History and operations==

Established in the early 1960s, the school offers Primary School Leaving Examination from grade 1 up to grade 7, the Junior Certificate from S1 (Secondary 1) to S3 and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education from S4 to S5.

The school is under the headship of 'Makananelo Moetsana, acting principal of the school, and serving deputy-head teachers 'Masentle Maduna (secondary section), Mathealira Chabana (upper primary section) and 'Malebohang Morena (lower primary section).

Secondary teachers include Karabo Nkhabu, Teboho Rantsoabe, 'Matankiso Morahanye, Phofu Motholo, 'Mamathe Malepa-Qhobela, 'Masekake Phatela, Phehlane Lebuso, Ralilateng Liphoto and 'Mareabetsoe Khoaeane.

Upper primary teachers include Pule Khojane, Lefa Thamae, Papali Mafike, Irene Sefubanyane and Ben Matjeane.

Lower primary teachers include 'Mantho Chechela, 'Mapulane Ramashamole, 'Mathabo Nkoale, Esther Apiah, Lebohang Phakisi, Marianna Motenalapi and Ms. Ts'ilo.

The school relies on the loyalty of the caretaker, Mr. Ramothoso Tlosane, and the secretary Mpho Motalingoane.


In 1998 and 2000, a third of the graduating class were placed in the top-ten list of best performance in the nation. This included second and third place. Extra-curricular Activities,

The school boasts its involvement in national and regional sporting activities as well as numerous school events aimed at building a holistic NULIS student.
