National Book Centre was established in 1995 through the passage of law in the Parliament of Bangladesh.[4] In 2016, the Government of Bangladesh announced plans to shift the National Book Centre and the Central Public Library to a newly constructed high-rise building.[5] The centre awards annually the National Book Centre Award for notable publications in Bangladesh.[6][7]

gollark: What about ~~foolish~~ places which limit password length to 0.5KB?
