National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts
The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA; Chinese: 中国戏曲学院) is a Chinese public university in Fengtai District, Beijing which offers B.A., M.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Chinese opera. It was founded in 1950 by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China as China Drama School. It became the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts in 1978. Currently there are 2,500 students and 250 experienced faculty members.
