Nashville Stars

The Nashville Stars was a professional basketball franchise based in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1991. The team played its inaugural season in the World Basketball League (WBL) before folding. The Stars played their home games at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The franchise was originally known as the Las Vegas Silver Streaks (1988–1990) before relocating for the 1991 season.

Notable players included four-time WBL scoring champion Jamie Waller and 1991 All-WBL selection Daren Queenan.

The team was coached by veteran coach Ron Greene. Greene previously coached Mississippi State and Indiana State. Green was assisted by local basketball notable Kevin Legate who had played at Belmont University. The radio broadcast were carried locally by WAMB 1160 AM and the voice of the Nashville Stars was local talk show host and radio play-by-play broadcaster Gregory Ruff.
