Nancy Hixt

Nancy Hixt is a Canadian journalist and podcast host. Since 2019 Hixt has hosted Crime Beat, a podcast detailing old criminal cases she had covered in the past in greater depth.

Career

Hixt began covering crime for CHCA-TV in 1997.

She currently reports on crime for Global Calgary. In 2016, she won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Local Reportage, for her reporting on a spate of assaults in Calgary taxis.[1]

In 2019 Hixt launched Crime Beat, a podcast for Curious Cast which focused on past cases which had haunted her.[2]
