Biography
Naila Khaneen was born on 18 November 1958 in Azad Kashmir to Khan of Mong, a local guerrilla leader and ex-British Indian Army officer.
She was the senior vice chairperson of United Kashmir People's National Party and the first woman from Pakistan Administered Kashmir to have a socialist and left-wing ideological leaning. She was active for over 20 years in non-conventional politics fighting for the peaceful and democratic resolution of the Kashmir conflict[1].
