History

Founded in 2005 as ŽNK Maribor, the club began competing in top flight in the 2006–07 season.[1] The team ranked last and second to last in the first two seasons,[4] but was third in 2009.[5] In the next three seasons they finished in the sixth spot.[6][7] Nina Kovačič (2007), Monika Žunkovič (2008 and 2011) and Urška Pavlec (2009 and 2010) have been the team's top scorers in its first five seasons.[8]

In February 2019, the club merged with men's football club NK Maribor Tabor.[2]

Stadium

The team play their home matches at the Tabor Sports Park, a 1,000 capacity stadium in Maribor.[9]

gollark: As far as I can tell, it basically just dispatches callbacks in an event loop thingy.
gollark: Yes.
