Reception
Doug Trueman reviewed the PlayStation version of the game for Next Generation, rating it three stars out of five, and stated that "Not bad, but not what it could have been. And forget about seeing other planes while you're airborne."[2]
GameSpot said that "While by no means a perfect product, NGEN does a good job of establishing an aspect of the racing genre that will obviously see many reinterpretations."[3]
IGN said that "The NGEN mode looks like it packs a nice degree of depth, allowing you to win money and modify your hangar of planes. Combine that with the game's neat 3D racing action, as well as the relaxing techno soundtrack, and you have an original game that we should have some fun with in the next few weeks.[4]
