NGC 2227

NGC 2227 is a barred spiral galaxy (SBc) located in the direction of the Canis Major constellation. It has a declination of -22° 00' 17" and a right ascension of 6 hours, 25 minutes and 57.9 seconds.

The galaxy NGC 2227 was discovered on January 27, 1835 by John Herschel.[2]
