My Shadow (poem)

My Shadow is one of the most famous poems for children by Robert Louis Stevenson.[1][2] It appeared in A Child's Garden of Verses in 1886. Among the writers to reference the first line "I have a little shadow That goes in and out with me; And what can be the use of him Is more than I can see" is Harry S. Truman.[3]
