Mukta Tilak
Mukta Shailesh Tilak (b 1965) is an Indian politician. She has been elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Kasba Peth in the 2019 state elections as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. Her nephew Rohit Tilak had contested from the same vidhan sabha seat in 2009 and 2014, but on Congress ticket, and lost each time.
She was elected Mayor of Pune for the period 2017 to 2019. Tilak is the first member of the BJP to hold the Mayor's position.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Mukta Tilak is daughter-in-law of Jayantrao Tilak (1921-2001), who was Lokmanya Tilak's grandson.
