Muhsin Parari

Muhsin Parari is an Indian film director, writer and lyricist, who works in Malayalam films.[1]

Career

He started his career by directing the much acclaimed[2][3][4] music album Native Bapa (2012),[5] in which actor Mamukkoya played the lead. Muhsin also penned the lyrics for the song. He worked as assistant director in feature films 5 Sundarikal (2013) and Last Supper (2014). His first movie as a director was KL 10 Patthu (2015). The movie got positive reviews from critics but was a failure at the box office[6][7]. In 2016, He returned with Funeral of a Native Son, a sequel to Native Bappa[8]. Muhsin co-wrote the movie Sudani from Nigeria with director Zakariya Mohammed in 2018. The movie was a huge hit[9][10] and received five Kerala State Film Awards including the one for Best Screenplay [11]. His latest release is Virus, directed by Aashiq Abu. Muhsin co-wrote the script with Suhas and Sharafu, writers of the movie Varathan[12].

Muhsin is the writer of the upcoming movies Halal Love Story (dir:Zakariya Mohammed)[13], Thallumaala (dir:Khalid Rahman)[14] and Devanganangal Kayyozhinja Tharakam (dir:Aashiq Abu)[15]. He will also serve as co-director in upcoming period movie Vaariyamkunnan, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran[16].

Muhsin has penned lyrics of few songs in movies like Thamaasha, Virus and Halal Love Story[17][18].
