Mount Fidjeland
Mount Fidjeland (71°42′S 25°36′E) is a mountain, 1,630 metres (5,350 ft) high, standing close northeast of Mehaugen Hill on the west side of the mouth of Byrdbreen in the Sør Rondane Mountains of Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named for one of the mechanics, Tom Fidjeland (1910–1999), on the Lars Christensen Expedition to this area, 1936–37.[1]
