Moonit is an app developer based in New York City.[1] The company launched as a semi-finalist at TechCrunch50 with its flagship product Moonit, a social discovery and meet-up app based on astrology.[2]

History
Co-founders Dana Kanze and Mason Sexton launched an alpha version of Moonit.com at TechCrunch San Francisco.[1] The two met while attending The University of Pennsylvania and launched Moonit while Mason was completing his MBA at Columbia Business School.[3] Moonit launched its first iOS application in October 2011.[4] In November 2014, Moonit Labs announced it has raised $1.5 million in new funding. The company intends to use the funds to expand.[5]

gollark: I mostly think of it as the second one. It's possible palaiologos is trying to move it toward the first, and I don't like this.
gollark: It's possible that this stems partly from differences in perception of what esolangs actually is; esoteric programming language discussion place which happens to have a somewhat weird community in it versus weird community which happens to exist in something nominally for esolang discussion.
