Taxiway projects
In June 2020, The Federal Aviation Administration reported that Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee has obtained an estimated $6.1 million federal grant to rehabilitate one of the runways and expand a taxiway.
The funding arrives as one of the 383 grants that the FAA distributes to airports in 46 states, Guam and numerous other territories, totaling about $800million. Mitchell Airport was the only airport in Wisconsin to have been chosen. It would earn $6,103,344 for the renovation of its runway and the expansion of taxiways.[6]
