The company was originally founded in 2011 as RealtimeBoard by Oleg Shard and Andrey Khusid, and was rebranded as Miro in 2019.[1] The platform offers deep integrations with popular collaboration tools including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Jira and Notion, enabling its 5 million users worldwide to work as if they were face to face.

The company is funded by ICONIQ Capital, Accel and several angel investors including two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry, Daniel Dines, founder and CEO of UiPath and Quentin Clark, Former CTO of Dropbox.
