Minister of State for Trade Promotion

The Minister of State for Trade Promotion is a junior ministerial post in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment of the Government of Ireland.

From 2002 to 2011 the office was titled Minister of State for Trade and Commerce. The minister works together with the senior minister in this department and has special responsibility for all affairs in relation to trade. The Minister of State does not hold cabinet rank. The position was abolished in July 2014 but was re-established in July 2020.

The current incumbent is Robert Troy, TD, who was appointed in July 2020.
