Mind Game (Chinese: 心迷) is a Singaporean crime drama produced by Mediacorp Channel 8, produced by its Malaysian subsidiary MediaCorp Studios Malaysia. The show aired at 9pm on weekdays and had a repeat telecast at 8am the following day. This drama involves many plot twists and cases that requires strong thinking to solve the cases. This drama stars Tay Ping Hui, Joanne Peh, Zhang Yaodong and Paige Chua.

Plot

The drama contains many cases which has unexpected twists and suspense. On every cases, a paralegal, a police, a psychologist and a mysterious woman with the ability to predict the future will help and solve difficult cases. Liang Wenjie (Tay Ping Hui) is a paralegal with a sharp mind and he is determined to find his long-lost sister who turned out to be dead. While finding his long-lost sister, he met Feng Xuezhi (Paige Chua) who helped him with many things.

Guo Yongyan (Zhang Yaodong), a psychologist, met Zhao Anni (Joanne Peh) and helped each other in cases. Together, four of them remain successful in solving cases until they realize a traitor among four of them...

Trivia

This will be Zhang Yaodong's comeback drama after Love at Risk and second villainous role after On the Fringe 2011.
The series was repeated at 8am.
The series is shown on television in episode 4 of C.L.I.F. 4. Tay Ping Hui, who starred in the original series, makes a second appearance on television.
The Series repeat its telecast on Channel 8 at 5.30pm.

Controversy

Malaysia's satellite channel Astro Shuang Xing was to air the show first in Asia, beginning from 30 April 2015, Sundays to Thursdays. When The Journey: Our Homeland aired on 9 July, Our Homeland had to be pulled out temporarily for a week on 16 July due to the discretion of MediaCorp. This caused Taiwan SET's Be With You 2 episodes back-to-back telecast to be pushed forward to 5.00pm from 16 to 23 July. Our Homeland resumed airing the show on the same day as Singapore from 23 July 2015, Mondays to Fridays. In fact, Astro shouldn't have aired MediaCorp dramas first before Singapore does so beginning with Mind Game, as it did not perform well in Singapore and is also nominated for only one technical award in Star Awards 2016, and that only Super Senior and The Dream Makers II were the only dramas in the planned First Global Premiere to win performance categories.

Awards & Nominations

Mind Game was nominated for only one technical award category in Star Awards 2016. Ng Lai Huat was nominated for Best Director, but lost to Loh Woon Woon from The Dream Makers II.

gollark: I think they just want to load an installer entirely into memory, install to a disk (overwriting the installer), then boot into that.

gollark: There are some ultraminimal ones designed to run from memory and I think the void installer has it as a boot option.

gollark: Some install things can load fully into memory, yes. I don't actually know which.
