Biography

Lim was born in 1980 in Tawau, Malaysia,[1] and was raised in Seattle, Washington, where he attended Garfield High School.[2] After completing his education at Pomona College in Claremont, California, he developed his photographic style in the fashion scenes of New York, Paris, and Tokyo.

Career

His works have appeared in Numéro Tokyo, and he has shot campaigns for Diesel Jeans, Nike, Fila,[3]Adidas,[4]Azul by Moussy[5] and Champion.[6] He has also worked for GQ, Maxim,[7] Vibe, and Vogue. He has also been published in Commercial Photo[8] and made portraits of Paris Hilton, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Lindsay Lohan, and Jennifer Lopez.

Lim has shot still and directed motion campaigns with Nike, Adidas, Red Bull, Puma, and Mountain Dew.

Lim continues the snap-shot aesthetic style pioneered by William Eggleston, Nan Goldin, and Juergen Teller.
