Midwest Curling Association
Founded in 1945, the Midwest Curling Association is a regional association of the United States Curling Association with member clubs in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri.[1] When originally founded, the organization represented more than 40 clubs from Nebraska, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and North Dakota. The Midwest Curling Association was dissolved on May 23, 1964, and Illinois was advised to create their own organization, so the Illinois Curling Association was born. In 2014, the Illinois Curling Association began to grow and support clubs outside the state. Therefore, in 2018, the board of the Illinois Curling Association decided to revert to the name, Midwest Curling Association.[2][3]
