Mick Fleming
Mick Fleming is a partner at Convergent Nonprofit Solutions, a nonprofit consulting and fundraising firm based in Atlanta. In this role, Mick puts his generation of association experience to use advising the staffs and boards of directors of chambers of commerce, associations, and other organizations. He is also president of Chamber Counselor, LLC, a small consulting firm based near his home in Northern Virginia. Fleming previously served for 16 years as president and chief executive officer of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, based in Alexandria, Virginia.

Fleming is a native of Buffalo, New York, and a graduate of Cornell University, where he majored in history and philosophy.
Career
Among other notable works, Fleming authored Horizon Initiative: Chambers 2025. Describing the Eight Influences detailed in Horizon Initiative: Chambers 2025, Fleming says, "ACCE’s long-term goal is to help business-led, economic-civic entities of every size and type thrive in a world shaped by these oncoming pressures and opportunities."[1]
He serves as vice chairman of the board of directors for World Chambers Federation, part of the International Chamber of Commerce. Fleming also serves on the board of directors for Community Growth Educational Foundation.
Before becoming president of ACCE in July 2001, Fleming served as chief executive officer of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York.
In an interview with Association Adviser, Fleming says of chambers of commerce, “[t]hey’re organizations of businesses seeking to further their collective interests while also advancing their community, region, state or even nation.”[2]
