Michigan's 13th Senate district
Michigan's 13th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. It has been represented by Democrat Mallory McMorrow since 2019, following her defeat of Republican Marty Knollenberg.[2]

Geography
District 13 covers eastern Oakland County in the northern suburbs of Detroit, including Troy, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, Berkley, Clawson, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and Rochester.[3]
The district is split among Michigan's 8th, 9th, and 11th congressional districts, and overlaps with the 26th, 27th, 40th, 41st, and 45th districts of the Michigan House of Representatives.[4]

gollark: If it values suffering for its own sake it might as well do it anyway, but I don't think doing the torturing would advance other goals.
gollark: If you ~~*do* pull it~~ leave it contained, I don't think it has any actual reason to torture the simulation, since you can't verify if it's doing so or not and it would only be worth doing at all if it plans to try and coerce you/other people later.
