Metamining

Metamining is a software vendor and consulting company specializing in legacy software modernization.[1][2] It is based in Seoul, South Korea and headed by CEO Jin Seok Lee.[3][4][5] Metamining's solutions are used onsite by systems integrators for migrating enterprise systems, analyzing problems in software, and extracting algorithms from databases and applications.[1][6] To date the most important activity has been the migration of legacy COBOL applications to Java.[4][5]

Metamining solutions have been used at about 250 sites, mostly in multinational companies, companies in the financial, communications, and manufacturing sectors, and public sector corporations.[1][7] In 2012, customers included Citicard, NEC, BC Card, Kiwoom Securities Co., Heungkuk Insurance, Samsung Securities, Meritz Insurance, and Dongbu Fire.[7]

Systems integrators who have used Metamining solutions to conduct migration tasks include IBM, HP, Oracle, Samsung SDS, LG CNS, SK C&C, NTT Data, Lotte Data Communication Company, and tsis.[6][7]
