Melekeok (town)
Melekeok (English: /ˈmɛləˌkeɪˌɔːk/)[1] is a town in the State of Melekeok (one of Palau's sixteen states). It is located on the east coast of Palau's largest island, Babeldaob. On October 2006, the settlement of Ngerulmud, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the village of Melekeok, became the seat of Palau's government, replacing Koror.[2]
