Melanie Whelan

Melanie Whelan is an American businesswoman who served as CEO of SoulCycle from 2015 until November 2019.[1] She began her career working in corporate development for Virgin America and Starwood. Prior to joining SoulCycle in 2012, Whelan was vice president of business development for Equinox Fitness.[2][3][4] Whelan served as SoulCycle's COO from 2012 until 2015, when she became the company's CEO.[5] She led the company's initial public offering (IPO).[6]
