Megachile pugnata is a species of bee in the family Megachilidae.[1] It was described by Say in 1837.[1]

Female: 12-18 mm. Male 11-13 mm. Adult active from June to September. Visits flowers from several families, pollen specialist on Asteraceae. Found in most of North America.[2]
