History

The institute was established in 1997 by the City Educational and Social Welfare Society.

Campus

The institute hosts one of the most renowned libraries, with books ranging from science journals to novels as a refresher. The library also provides a hot spot for exam time study, with students doing late night studies or brainstorming on problems.[4] The computer center has 1650 computers in 45 labs, all having internet through a 255 Mbit/s leased line.[5] The institute has an on-campus hostel facility for boys and girls. The boys' hostel has a capacity of around 850 while the girls' hostel can accommodate 250 students.
