He was signed by Brøndby in January 2008 from Anderlecht from Belgium.[1]
His last name comes from his paternal grandmother from Germany, who is an older half sister of actress Uma Thurman's mother Nena von Schlebrügge, making Uma his first cousin once removed.[2]
