Maureen Edwards
Maureen Edwards (born c. 1939) is a New Zealand-born actress. She initially trained to become a teacher, before becoming interested in theatre, appearing at the Globe Theatre in Dunedin in the 1960s and becoming an administrator for the gateway players. She remains best known for her roles in Australian soap opera, particularly her stint as Matron Rosemary Prior Elliot in the television series A Country Practice in 1991 until 1993 (after two cameo roles in 1985 and 1990); Shortland Street in 2001-02 as CEO Dr. Patricia Hewitt; and Neighbours as Ruby Dwyer in 2003. She has also appeared in many Australia miniseries and telemovies such as All the Rivers Run and Evil Angels. She emigrated from New Zealand to Australia with her husband Peter Tulloch in 1977.

She had recurring roles in Prisoner, appearing briefly in the series with cameos as four different characters, but best known as background officer Sue Bailey. Other television parts included Skyways, I Can Jump Puddles, The Flying Doctors, G.P., Blue Heelers and The Secret Life Of Us. She appeared in the first season of Neighbours in a cameo as Marcia Taylor and after playing the longer role of Ruby Dwyer in 2002 and 2003, she returned again to Neighbours for guest stints in 2008 and 2009 as "Hilda Jones" and "Jill Smith".
