Mater Spei College is a government-aided Catholic Institution located in Francistown, Botswana. It is a mixture of boarding and day scholar students grades (11-12) or form 4 and form 5.

Location

Mater Spei College is located in the northern part of Botswana in the second largest city called Francistown.[1]

History

Mater Spei College was pioneered by the late Bishop of Roman Catholic church U. Murphy, in the year 1963. They started using the catholic primary school land with its building to form the College.[2] According to history, Mater spei college grew up in terms of the number of student's it accommodates. The figures grew to approximately 1600 in numbers. There are on going developments and finished ones at the campus, from new double storey classes, a multi purpose hall and a networked (internet connected) library.[3] Mater Spei College has twelve subject departments, which includes:

  5. Science
