Marwan Maalouf

Marwan Maalouf(mar-won mah-LOOF)(born November 26,1976) has been coaching NFL special teams since 2005. He joined the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff as special teams coordinator in February 2019.[1][2] He started coaching in the NFL after spending a few years coaching in college.[3] Marwan is Lebanese and his parents own and operate a Lebanese restaurant in Ohio.[1]

Playing Career

In college, Maalouf earned 3 letters while playing guard for Baldwin-Wallace University from 1997 until 1999. He was a 2-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. In addition he was named Baldwin-Wallace's Outstanding Offensive Lineman and was elected as a team captain for his senior season.

NFL Coaching

Marwan began his NFL coaching career with the Cleveland Browns. Following his three year stint with Cleveland, he spent the 2007 season writing scouting reports for Scouts Inc. and ESPN. He returned to coaching the following year as the assistant Special Teams Coach for the Baltimore Ravens. In 2012 he left the Ravens with recently named Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, named the special teams coordinator. He was ultimately let go [4]after one year and began coaching for the Miami Dolphins, until his hiring by the Vikings[5][6]in 2019.
