Martin Alper
Martin Alper (1942 – June 7, 2015) was a video game designer and the former President of Virgin Interactive. Alper was the co-founder of Mastertronic,[1] which went on to become Virgin Interactive. He was also the person who approached Westwood Studios co-founder Brett Sperry about creating Dune II. Sperry did so, and the game was published by Virgin and went on to be a great success.[2] Alper also provided the voice acting for EVA in the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert.[3]

Alper died on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at his home in Laguna Beach. He was survived by his brother Barry and sister-in-law Angela, his wife Jamie, his daughters Samantha and Mila and son-in-law Mark, and four grandchildren.[4][5]
