Maria da Conceição Tavares
Maria da Conceição de Almeida Tavares (Anadia, April 24, 1930) is a Portuguese naturalized Brazilian economist.[1][2] She is also a titular professor at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and professor emerita of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

Maria da Conceição is affiliated with the Workers' Party,[3] and she has been Federal Deputy state of Rio de Janeiro between 1995 and 1999, and is the author of several books on economic development.[4]
