Maria Francesca Nascinbeni

Maria Francesca Nascinbeni (1658–1680) was an Italian composer. She studied in Ancona, Italy, with Augustinian monk Scipio Lazzarini. He included her motet "Sitientes venite" and works by two of his other students in his "Motetti a due e tre voce."[1] At age sixteen (December 1674) Nascinbeni published one volume of music including songs, canzonas, madrigals and motets for organ and one, two and three voices.[2] All that is known of her life is from the prefaces to her music volumes.[3][4]

Notes

1.^ She also spelled her last name as "Nascimbeni".
gollark: Ah. Well, I just use neural interface scanning anyway, so I don't think this'll do much.
gollark: Why install an anti-xray plugin? Block scanners exist.
gollark: The way that should be phrased is "if you move the pit of despair I will install potatOS on a computer".
gollark: You know what I really dislike? Phrasing imperative statements as future tense.
gollark: VILE!
