Marcus George
Marcus George (born 28 February 1986) is an English rugby league footballer for Halifax. George began his career on Halifax's scholarship programme but turned professional with Huddersfield Giants. After rejecting a contract from the Huddersfield Giants, George had a spell on a pay-as-you-play deal at the Bradford Bulls, the club he left to join Halifax in the 2006 season.[1] He has since established himself as a first team regular at The Shay. George plays in the Wing position. He scored 7-tries in 14-appearances in his first season with Halifax, and 12-tries from 13-appearances in his second season.
Genealogical Information
Marcus George is the son of the rugby league footballer Wilf George, and the older brother of the rugby league footballer Luke George.[2]
