Career

Club

Benítez started his career with Argentine Primera División side Lanús in 2008, but left two years later without featuring.[2] In 2010, Benítez joined Spanish club Real Zaragoza B.[2] He made forty-one appearances, including twenty-nine in the 2011–12 Segunda División B season, either side of a spell back in Argentina with General Lamadrid.[1][2] He left Zaragoza in June 2013 to join Deportivo Armenio of Primera B Metropolitana.[1][2] His first appearance came on 18 September in a draw against Deportivo Merlo.[1] He played eighteen times for the club.[1][2] On 28 August 2014, Benítez joined Torneo Federal A club Tiro Federal.[1][2]

Twelve appearances followed for Tiro Federal during the 2014 campaign.[1][2] He subsequently joined fellow Torneo Federal A outfit Talleres in January 2015.[1][3] Benítez played a total of three times for Talleres in 2015, which included a red card in his second match versus Juventud Unida Universitario.[1][2] Talleres won the league title that season which secured promotion to Primera B Nacional.[1] Benítez was let go to join Atlético Camioneros of Torneo Federal B soon after.[1][2] They won promotion to Torneo Federal A in 2017.[2]

International

He played five times and scored one goal for the Argentina U20 team at the 2009 South American U-20 Championship, with the goal coming in a final stage draw with Venezuela.[1][2]

Honours

Talleres[1]
gollark: Yep!
gollark: Yes, but I'd only include it if there was another 1 or 2-letter symbol in its code.
gollark: I'm going for including 1-letter element symbols too, as long as there's at least two of them.
gollark: _continues checking 300 dragons for periodic table codes_
gollark: In any case, it still seems really stupid wanting to control what order your dragons are viewed in, to me at least, especially since by default you'd see their chosen sort.
